Christmas Home Tour
This year took me a little bit longer than usual to decorate our house. The past few years I have done the white flocked Christmas tree with the white ornaments, and while I still love that look I was craving something different for our formal living room this year. So the flocked tree ended up in the front foyer, yes we have three trees (I did say I loved Christmas)!

So in the front hall I went with the theme of the white flocked tree and did our bar cart with a lot of white accents as well. I also did a white garland on our large console table.

With the white tree in the front foyer, I needed a new tree for the living room. Commence the great tree hunt of 2019 (that’s what my husband and family referred to it as). This year I probably put together and took down a total of 9 trees! I had a very specific look in mind I wanted a noble spruce Christmas tree look, the ones that are a little bit sparse and a little less full. The trouble with living in Canada is there is a lot less selection then the US, and the two trees that I found that I loved couldn’t be shipped here. In the end we found one on Amazon and ordered it. I wasn’t sure if it was going to work but I ended up loving it and it was also a great price!!!

In the living room everything is a little warmer with gold & rose gold ornaments on the tree. I went simple on the mantel with a garland that I added a few ornaments in the colour scheme of the tree, some candle sticks, and of course our stockings. We also moved one of our couches and put some chairs there instead to make room for our tree by the fireplace (one of my tips is don’t be afraid to move things around when you are decorating).

The Kitchen I kept pretty simple and just added a few touches with a wreath, some cookie jars, and of course a cute Christmas saying on my letter board.

Our dining room of course is where we all gather together for Christmas dinner. My table is quite long and I have a hard time finding a table runner long enough. I actually used a roll of wrapping paper that I bought at Winners, it worked out perfect and looks gorgeous. I also used some real garland and some ornaments to decorate the table. In the corner of our dining room is where our little Charlie Brown Christmas tree sits, I kept this tree simple with white and black ornaments.

I hope you enjoyed this years Christmas home tour. From my family to yours I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your friends and loved ones. See our other holiday home tours here.
