The Christmas season is here finally we could all use a reason to celebrate after the year we have had! When I decorate my home for Christmas I always set a Christmas tablescape as well. I love doing this and thinking of all our friends and family sitting around the table enjoying a holiday dinner! This year we are hosting our family on Christmas Day for dinner. If you are looking for some great holiday vegan recipes check out my Vegan for the Holidays cookbook it has everything you need for a delicious Christmas feast! Classic & Chic Christmas Tablescape
This year I kept my Christmas tablescape pretty simple. I used a long table runner with a garland and lots of candles. I got the joy plates a few years ago at Homesense and love bringing them out every Christmas. I think candles add a simple elegance to any table setting. Every year my sister and I have a fight over who’s hosting Christmas dinner we usually try to take turns. But I love hosting. With Covid this year we are doing a smaller gathering with only immediate family. I remember so many Christmases where we have not only had family but friends gathered around our table too. It became an unspoken tradition that if someone we knew didn’t have anywhere to go for Christmas they were always welcomed at our house.

I also love adding some Christmas touches to our large shelving unit just behind our dining room table. This area also serves as our bar cart and holds a lot of our serving dishes too.
