Before becoming a mom I had time to do my 10 plus step skincare and beauty routine, I love pampering myself and having a beauty routine. Since becoming a mom finding time for myself has become a luxury, and very valuable when I do get it. Gone are the days of elaborate skincare and beauty routines, however that doesn’t mean not taking care of yourself. I’m a big believer that you can’t pour from an empty cup, and I find it rejuvenating to still take a few minutes out of each day to do some self care. - Coola: Environmental 360° Sun Silk Drops Organic Sunscreen SPF 30– My first pick is an easy one as I have been using this product for years, and no other facial sunscreen can quite compare to this one. I was really happy to find this product on beautysense.ca as other online retailers don’t carry it and I’ve had to get my mom to bring it up from the US for me. Before you rush out of the house for the day the one thing you can’t forget is sunscreen and this one feels like silk on your skin and it great under makeup too. This vegan and reef safe sunscreen is plant derived and 70% organic ingredients which is one of the many reasons this is my go to.
- MISENCIL VoluMax Vegan Mascara– now if I’m running out the door and can only apply one makeup product you better believe that it’s mascara. This vegan mascara gives loads of volume without clumping up, one swipe of this and you are good to go!
- St Tropez Self Tan Luxe Tan Tonic Drops– I have used this brand for years, nothing makes you look more awake then a nice glowing tan. Infused with 100% natural tanning active, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Echinacea, and Acerola Cherry extract rich in Vitamins C & E to help plump, protect, smooth fine lines, reduce redness and give a natural sun-kissed glow. I usually forgo foundation these days but I love using these self tanner facial drops to even out my skin and give me a nice healthy glow.
- Comfort Zone Skin Regimen 2.0 Lift Eye Cream-Nothing says new mom quite like big bags under your eyes from lack of sleep. This eye cream has become my favourite, it has 1% pure caffeine and botanical extracts which reduces appearance of crow’s feet, puffiness, dark circles, sagging eyelids. I use this twice a day and love the creamy texture.
- Eminence Citrus Lip Balm– I usually swipe on some lip balm before going out for the day (if you notice a trend here all these products are mostly non makeup products but pack a powerful punch in helping you look put together). I can’t get enough of this luscious butter cream that plumps and hydrates, just pop it in you purse and you are good to go, this gives your lips hydration and a nice sheen, and your lips also appear more plum too. I also love that this brand plants a tree for every product you buy!
